Some 55,000 people flocked to London’s Trafalgar Square last weekend for West End Live, a free celebration of London’s theatre.
The weekend (Saturday June 25 and Sunday 26) was filled with 11 hours of performances from over 50 shows from London’s West End, featuring a total of 541 performers.
Musicals included favourites such as Hamilton, Wicked, Six, Tina – The Tina Turner Musical, Dear Evan Hansen, The Book of Mormon, Les Misérables and Come From Away.
Other shows making their West End Live debuts included Cabaret, Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Legally Blonde (pictured above), Back To The Future – The Musical, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and South Pacific.
And it wasn’t just the attendees that were excited about West End Live, as performances posted on the Official London Theatre’s YouTube channel have accumulated almost 20,000 views.
West End Live is produced by Westminster City Council and the Society of London Theatre.
