1.5 million fans try to buy NCT Dream tickets

Some 1.5 million fans tried to purchase tickets at the same time for the latest shows from K-pop boyband NCT Dream.

The fans were trying to access Yes24, a Korean online ticketing site, to purchase tickets for ‘The Dreamshow2: In a Dream’ tour.

Fans have described how after logging on to the website when tickets went on sale yesterday (Wednesday), they were placed into a waiting list along with hundreds of thousands of other fans.

According to reports, Yes24 apologised to fans for the issues as the company’s server could not keep up with the level of demand for tickets.

NCT announced last week that they would be holding their first series of concerts for three years. A three-night run is set to take place in Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome from July 29 – 31.

The final night of the concert will also be live-streamed via Beyond LIVE for global audiences and those that could not secure tickets.
