Live Nation has signed a multi-year deal to become the exclusive booking partner for the 1,200-capacity Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center.
Live Nation has also unveiled the first shows that will be a part of the ongoing live performance series at the venue, including Beres Hammond on August 23, Lacuna Coil on September 8, Apocalyptica on September 11 and Dead Boys on October 20.
Tickets for these events are now available via Live Nation-owned Ticketmaster.
Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center has been boosted by local investments recently, including a million-dollar state redevelopment grant. Live Nation said there is a “renewed vision” for the venue and a wish to create a more robust concert series for the local community.
Chris Werner, president of entertainment at the venue, said: “We have a beautiful venue, and now with our new partnership with Live Nation, we’re looking to take H•MAC to the next level with even more concerts and performance. This new relationship will help drive the ongoing revitalisation of the city’s live entertainment scene.”
Geoff Gordon, regional president of Live Nation Northeast, added: “H•MAC is a fantastic space for live music, and we look forward to working closely with the team in creating new and exciting opportunities connecting artists to artists with their fans here in the capital city of Pennsylvania.”
Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center also features Stage on Herr, a 350-person club and gallery space that is set to be redesigned to better serve performers and fans. The space will benefit from a widened stage, new permanent seating and upgrades to its sound system.
Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center is located between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, making it a strategic and convenient stop for regional and national touring acts on the east coast of the US.
