Northampton Town implement improved ticketing system

English League Two football club Northampton Town has implemented a new ticketing system ahead of the 2022-23 season, which kicks off on July 30.

The club has upgraded its ticketing system over the summer, with fans able to utilise the system for pre-season games against West Bromwich Albion on July 13 and Luton Town on July 16.

Season tickets also went back on sale yesterday (Tuesday) after being suspended on June 30 in order to let the new ticketing system go live.

Initial benefits from the ticketing upgrade include print at home tickets now being emailed directly to the buyers as a PDF, while tickets can also be sent directly as a PDF text to a mobile device. Fans will have to reset their password as the old passwords have not been copied over from the old system.

Further benefits will be introduced by the club over the coming weeks and months.

Northampton Town recently announced that its season ticket sales were up 8% compared to last season, with just a few weeks of sales to go until the start of the season.

At the time, chief executive James Whiting said: “To be 8% up on last season’s season ticket sales with five weeks still to go is fantastic and we would like to thank everyone who has purchased a season ticket so far.

“We expect that 8% increase to grow as we do expect to sell more season tickets before the new season starts as pre-season goes along and we continue our work to add to the squad.”
