Coventry City marks major season ticket milestone

English Championship football club Coventry City has continued to mark major milestones when it comes to season ticket sales.

The club passed its modern day record of 12, 457 a few weeks ago, which was set during the 1968-69 season. It has now surpassed a total of 13,000 season ticket sold for the 2022-23 season.

An adult season ticket costs £399 (€475/$485) for the new campaign, which equates to £17.35 a game. Concession prices amount to £320 for a season ticket, while Young Sky Blue memberships – U18s – will cost Coventry fans £213. A Junior Sky Blue U16 season ticket will cost £107 while U13s are free with a full-paying adult.

Coventry City chief executive Dave Boddy said: “Hitting a total of 13,000 season tickets sold is another fantastic milestone.

“As we approach the start of the season on Sunday and the first home game a week later, be in no doubt the impact that this number of supporters backing the team week-in, week-out will make to the players, the staff and the club as a whole.

“Last season the atmosphere and feeling around home matchdays was unprecedented at the Arena, and I hope that reaching these record levels will increase that even further.”

Boddy added: “Season tickets do remain available to buy and are still the best value way to support the club at each game in the season ahead, and we look forward to even more fans joining the 13,000 members of the Sky Blue Army who already have their 2022/23 season ticket.”

Coventry will kick off its season away at Sunderland this weekend, while its first home at Coventry Building Society Arena (pictured) will be on August 7 against Rotherham.
