Fans unhappy with Blackpink tour prices

Fans of K-pop group Blackpink have voiced their anger over the price of tickets for the band’s upcoming ‘Born Pink’ tour.

The tour kicks off in October with two dates in Seoul before heading to North America, and was announced earlier this month.

The group’s management, YG Entertainment, released details of ticketing last week with membership fans able to gain early access to sales yesterday (Monday) and today (Tuesday). General sale will begin August 31.

However, some fans are unhappy with the prices of tickets. It has been reported that there a number of packages available offering different benefits to K-pop fans. The Blink Standard package, which only secures you a ticket, is priced at 154,000 won ($115/£97/€115). This is followed up with the Blink Plus package, which includes a ticket as well as a sound check attendance, and costs 176,000 won ($132/£111/€132).

The Platinum Pink package will set fans back 264,000 won ($198/£167/€198) but does include a ticket, sound check attendance and exclusive merchandise.

The packages are assigned to different sections of the arenas with the Platinum Pink package taking fans closest to the stage.

Blackpink’s Seoul shows are set to take place at KSPO Dome on October 15 and 16.

Some fans are also reportedly unhappy with the choice of venue in Seoul, as it only has a capacity of 15,000. This means that across the two nights, only 30,000 fans will be able to see the K-pop group live.
