Art Week Tokyo compliments events with free app

Art Week Tokyo (AWT), which runs from November 3-6, has launched an app that offers reduced admission to participating museums, unlimited rides on AWT transport, and entry to the AWT bar.

Art fans are able to download their free ticket to Art Week Tokyo and the app, which will also include a customisable map, real-time bus tracking and illustrated exhibition listings.

The app also offers reduced admission to participating museums, including the National Art Center, National Museum of Modern Art, Mori Art Museum and more.

Reduced admission rates with the AWT Pass can be obtained at the museum’s ticket counter, but cannot be used to purchase tickets online.

Attendees will also be able to gain access to the pop-up AWT Bar in Minami-Aoyama after enjoying the exhibitions. The app allows art fans to plan their itinerary on the go, with details of venues and transport.

There will be over 50 exhibitions located at the city’s museums, galleries and art spaces through co-ordinated programming.
