Romanian event and cinema ticketing platform Entertix is now accepting Dogecoin, XRP and other cryptocurrencies supported by Binance Pay as a form of payment.
Binance founder, Cahngpeng Zhao, revealed the news on Twitter and said the move was “pushing” crypto adoption.
Users can now purchase tickets for sporting matches and other events using certain cryptocurrencies.
Binance Pay, the cryptocurrency payment technology platform from Binance, allows users to shop with crypto or send crypto worldwide. The platform currently supports over 40 cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP and Dogecoin.
Users can purchase tickets to watch Romanian Liga 1 club FC Rapid Bucuresti, a club which is sponsored by Binance, through Entertix.
Binance has also recently announced a partnership with Dubai-based luxury hotel, Palazzo Versace, with guests able to pay for dining, stays and spa experiences using select cryptocurrencies.
