Premium ticketing marketplace Seat Unique has partnered with Glamorgan Cricket, and will drive the club’s online hospitality and premium ticket sales.
The partnership will begin with the 2021-22 season and run for four years. Seat Unique will be responsible for hospitality and premium ticket sales for both domestic and international cricket, as well as concerts taking place at Sophia Gardens cricket ground in Cardiff.
Chief executive and founder of Seat Unique, Robin Sherry, said: “We are extremely pleased to have partnered with Glamorgan Cricket. By extending the club’s hospitality offering with a new premium ticketing category, we can attract more fans than ever before.
“We look forward to cricket and music fans using our platform to access Glamorgan’s premium experiences and welcoming them to the Seat Unique family.”
Glamorgan can now offer fans a quick and easy solution to book tickets anywhere and at any time, due to the digitalisation of the hospitality booking process. The club will now be able to expand its offering to supporters through new experiences and ticket categories, such as the premium ticket category that is planned for 2022 with prime seats in the Pavilion Stand.
Fans will be able to access premium seats without the added cost of luxury extras as the price for premium seats will sit between standard ticket prices and hospitality.
Huw Warren, head of commercial at Glamorgan, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Seat Unique to Glamorgan Cricket and Sophia Gardens.
“I’ve been hugely impressed with the online platform and growth both in cricket and rugby, and this agreement now complements our digital innovation strategy at the club in 2022 and beyond.”
Glamorgan is the latest feather in the cap for Seat Unique, with a portfolio that already boasts Wales Rugby, English Premier League clubs Liverpool and Manchester United, as well as Wembley Stadium.
