We round up the latest movements from the ticketing sector and associated industries…
AEG Presents UK has appointed Chris Wareing (pictured left) as senior vice-president for global touring and Paris Harding (pictured right) as its latest promoter.
Wareing hopes to expand the company’s hip hop and rap presence globally, and has experience in this genre as a promoter and founder of the Gods of Rap tour. He has worked with artists such as Stormzy, Dave, Travis Scott and Little Simz.
He has joined AEG Presents UK from SJM Concerts, where he served as a promoter for the last 10 years. Harding has also joined AEG Presents UK from SJM Concerts, where he worked as a promoter.
AEG Presents UK chief executive officer Steve Homer said: “Having worked alongside Chris for a number of years and admired his presence from afar, I couldn’t be more thrilled to have him join our team. He’ll be working closely with myself and my colleague Gary Gersh , [president of global touring and talent, AEG Presents] at an international level, to drive our footprint in these important genres forward. It’s rare to come across talent at the level he and Paris exhibit and I couldn’t think of a better way to close out a stellar year.”
Wareing added: “I’m excited to kick off the New Year with a new challenge booking globally with AEG. I admire the vision and work of the company and I’m looking forward to further driving their presence in the hip hop and rap space.”
Earlier this month, AEG Presents UK also made five senior appointments. Jacqui Harris took on the role of vice-president and general manager. Harris has worked with AEG Presents 2007, most recently as director of commercial operations.
Lucky Thompson has been appointed as senior director, events and operations. Thompson will also be responsible for the company’ Cornerstone Events Division, which includes Summer Series, C2C, Eden Sessions and comedy event, Just for Laughs.

Leonie Wakeman has been made director of commercial operations, and previously worked as head of ticketing at AEG.
Stuart Dorn, who was recently appointed as group venue operations director, will now be responsible for AEG Presents venues including Indigo at The O2, The Halls Wolverhampton, Eventim Apollo and Olympia London.
Tellyo, a cloud-based video production platform that enables media teams to produce content to be streamed to multiple platforms, has appointed Arcari Misse as solutions architect for EMEA.
Misse said: “I’m very excited to be joining Tellyo as we look forward to a new year of growth and further expansion. The industry is increasingly looking to cloud solutions to answer the cost, efficiency and environmental challenges posed by production in a post-pandemic world. I know Tellyo is ideally placed to take advantage of this trend.”
