Iconic Amsterdam venue Paradiso is targeting new fan experience enhancements after extending its partnership with See Tickets.
The Dutch club, which welcomes more than 600,000 visitors per year, said it has been working intensively with See Tickets to improve the purchase experience for visitors in the Paradiso ticket shop and to make secondary ticket sales more transparent and fair since they began collaborating in 2019. New features offered to customers during the last four years include the facility to distribute tickets among friends, waiting lists for sold-out events and simplified, face value ticket returns and refunds.
Paradiso said it will be expanding the account environment to become more focused on the individual customer and offering new options to make it easier to resell tickets in a fair manner.
Erik Luyten, head of Ticketing, ICT & data at Paradiso, said: “We teamed up with See Tickets for our ticket sales in 2019 because of the technological strength and flexibility that matched the plans we had. As a result, Paradiso has already been able to make a quality improvement over the past four years, including the introduction of ticket shops in its own house styles and accounts, with which visitors can get more and more out of our programming thanks to personal suggestions.
“See Tickets is also at the forefront of secondary ticket sales. Making the black market of tickets more difficult is a topical subject for which we can offer fair and transparent resale options within our own platform thanks to the possibilities of See Tickets. The extension of our cooperation makes it possible to further improve and expand the service to our visitors. There are still plenty of ideas for the future.”
Paradiso, located in a former church, has welcomed artists such as David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Nirvana and Prince since it opened in 1968.
Marijke van den Bosch, chief executive of See Tickets Benelux & Germany, said: “The innovations that we have been able to do together in recent years are the result of a pleasant and close collaboration with the Paradiso team. Because we are in regular contact about challenges and opportunities, ideas for new solutions arise. These are often developments that we can also implement for customers in other segments.
“It is of course great to be able to further develop these types of topics in the coming years with a partner like Paradiso. Paradiso is an innovative, digital music organisation, able to offer its visitors added value from its strong relationship with the fan, making it an ideal partner for us.”
