Secutix has announced the appointment of Chris Rawlings to the new role of business development lead for the UK and Ireland. Lennard Moons has also joined the group as general manager of Secutix for the Benelux and Nordic markets.
Rawlings joins Secutix from the Scottish FA, where he was chief commercial officer for over five years. Rawlings has held senior roles at the Rugby Football League, the talent agency YMU (previously James Grant Group), and SportFive International.
In his new role, Rawlings will be responsible for driving business growth and developing new partnerships in the region. Secutix clients in the region include The Hundred, Fulham FC, England Netball, the Guinness Storehouse and the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
Rawlings said: “In my career, I have been responsible within organisations for ticketing teams and having the best ticketing platform, worrying about revenue streams and how to deliver a great experience for a fan or event guest. Working with the suite of Secutix digital solutions along with my understanding of client challenges, I’m looking forward to asking clients what success looks like for them and helping them to achieve it.”
Moons has more than 20 years of international commercial and operational experience in the technology and software industry gained in Southeast Asia, India, the US, Africa and Europe. He has held multiple executive positions with global companies such as Stream Global Services (Concentrix), TLSContact, Agoda and RIFFOnline.
In the Benelux and Nordic region, Secutix’s clients include AFC Ajax, Johan Cruijff Arena, Norwegian Football Federation (NFF) and Bozar in Brussels (The Centre for Fine Arts).
Moons said: “It is super interesting as the benefits and possibilities of new digital technology for our clients within ticketing and related business activities are huge. In addition to our completely open and cloud-based event ticketing platform S-360, Secutix is fully engaged in marketing TIXNGO, our secure, fraud-preventive mobile ticketing wallet.”
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is seeking a senior manager, ticketing operations and solutions, who will oversee and support the effective ticketing operations and delivery of all Games’ ticketing programmes.
The IOC is searching for a candidate with significant and proven experience in leading international ticketing programmes. It said specific experience in Olympic ticketing or other relevant operations at the Games would be an advantage.
Main responsibilities for the Lausanne-based role include supporting the ticketing programme’s core systems and solutions, supporting future Organising Committee of the Olympic Games’ (OCOG) to develop their ticketing business plan, and Games time and post-Olympic Games’ reconciliation.
TicketManager co-founders Brett Cahn and Alvin Chang have transferred from North America to lead the group’s new London office as it seeks growth in the UK and European market.
Cahn previously led TicketManager’s southern California operations, with Chang in the same position in New York.
Chang has taken a role with responsibility for global business operations and business development, while Cahn is now manager of business development and operations.
“Having worked with numerous multinational companies and international events including the Olympic Games and FIFA World Cup tournaments, we are well positioned to partner directly with British and European marketers in providing them the same tools that are used successfully every day by our hundreds of North American-based customers,” Chang said.
Eventfrog, the Swiss event and ticketing platform, has appointed Harm-Jörg Heikens as chief revenue officer.
Heikens has already held similar management positions since 2010 at eBay, DaWanda and most recently as director of sales and business development at Kitchen Stories, a BSH service brand. Eventfrog said his extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of sales will play a crucial role in implementing Eventfrog’s expansion strategy in Germany.
“The German market offers tremendous potential for Eventfrog. We see numerous opportunities to provide event organisers and participants with an innovative and user-friendly experience”, explains Mike Müller, chief executive of Eventfrog. “With Harm-Jörg Heikens’ expertise and experience, we are confident that we can successfully continue our growth trajectory and establish ourselves as a platform in Germany.”
