Future Ticketing and League of Ireland celebrate record season ticket sales

Ticketing software provider Future Ticketing has revealed record season ticket sales for its SSE Airtricity League of Ireland Premier Division partner football clubs.

Over 15,000 season tickets have been processed through the Future Ticketing digital platform ahead of the new campaign this weekend.

Future Ticketing is a partner of nine of the Premier Division’s 10 clubs and is providing ticketing services for all five of the opening-round matches.

Over the course of the season, Future Ticketing said that it expects a cumulative attendance of up to 600,000 for the league’s fixtures.

Future Ticketing’s digital platform allows partners to have control over each aspect of ticketing, including fan engagement, as well as allowing fans to purchase tickets online through a straightforward customer journey.

Liam Holton, CEO of Future Ticketing, said: “These clubs who are investing in digital transformation are seeing the greatest benefits as fans of all demographics shift their consumer patterns online.

“Season ticket sales for the clubs using the Future Ticketing platform are up an average of 19% versus 2019 along with increased pre-sales aided by the digital transformation of clubs on the Future Ticketing platform. It is a great credit to these clubs and their fans who have quickly embraced digital technology driving fan engagement and revenues for the clubs.

“League of Ireland football is in a great place thanks to the commitment of clubs, fans, and players and on behalf of everyone here at Future Ticketing, we wish all the clubs, players and supporters, the very best for the 2022 season.”
