Ticketing software company Tix Ticketing has today (Thursday) announced the launch of its US operations.
The Reykjavik-based firm, which traditionally caters for performing arts organisations, theatres, cultural houses and similar venues, already operates across the Nordics and in the UK.
The US outfit will be led by recent hire Aren Murray (pictured main), who has joined the company in the role of business development manager.
Hrefna Sif Jónsdótti, chief operating officer of Tix Ticketing, said: “We have experienced rapid growth in recent years as a result of providing the right integrated software and services that our customers need for digitised, modern event and ticketing operations.
“Our entry into the US market is a natural progression of our growth and enables us to service a greater number of performing arts and multi-event venues. We are thrilled to launch our US operations with an exceptional key hire in Aren Murray, an executive who has deep experience and a broad network within the US ticketing industry.”
Murray has previous experience within the performing arts venue sector and has worked with Texas A&M University’s centralised arts box office, as well as boasting a role in ticket operations at Tobin Center for the Performing Arts in Texas. She is also a member of the board for non-profit membership organisation INTIX.
In her new role, Murray will oversee business development initiatives, help to assist venues and organisations in streamlining their ticketing operations, utilise customer data and gain valuable insight into multi-platform event ticketing management.
Murray added: “Tix Ticketing takes a stimulating and intuitive approach to ticketing technology that will greatly benefit US venues and performing arts organisations. I’m thrilled to direct the development of its US presence and enable ticketing professionals and venues across the country to obtain the full control, transparency, efficient purchase flow and revenue they need.”
