Tech Port Arena in San Antonio has revealed its grand opening line-up, with tickets set to go on sale on Friday.
Operated by venue and event management company ASM Global, the 3,100-capacity arena will open its doors for the first time in May with the help of US band, The Smashing Pumpkins.
The new arena will showcase state-of-the-art production, sightlines, VIP amenities and high-quality hospitality.
After the opening night, various other artists will perform in May, including Kevin Gates, Carla Morrison and Papa Roach with specs guest Highly Suspect. WASP featuring Michael Schenker Group and Armored Saint will feature in November.
Tickets for the Carla Morrison performance will go on sale March 4.
Jim Perschback, president and chief executive of Port San Antonio, the campus in which the new arena is based, said: “As a world-class destination that will attract people of all backgrounds, a key element of Tech Port Center and Arena is to provide an array of exciting entertainment offerings throughout the year in our 3,100-seat venue.
“From music concerts to esports competitions to robotics demonstrations and more, bringing in a diversity of audiences will be an important part of growing connections between our technology campus and people far and wide.”

Tech Port Arena general manager Eric Blockie said: “We’re excited and feel fortunate to kick things off with one of the all-time great musical artists. San Antonio is a city with a proud musical heritage, and this is the perfect way to get started.
