Rally New Zealand has announced a new partnership with white-label ticketing and data solutions provider, Flicket.
Motorsport fans will now be able to purchase tickets and VIP packages for the event, which is set to take place from September 29 to October 2 this year, directly from Rally New Zealand.
The race was first included as a round of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) in 1977 and has taken place in Auckland and Hamilton over the years. A race was not held in New Zealand between 2013 and 2016 but it returned to the WRC calendar in 2020, though the ‘homecoming’ event is yet to take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year’s round will take place in Auckland.
Michael Goldstein, chief executive of Rally New Zealand, said: “We are excited to partner with an ambitious New Zealand-owned and operated company that has a strong focus on providing excellent customer experiences.
“Flicket enables us to directly connect with our fans whilst giving us the ability to activate our data in a smarter and more effective way.”
Flick co-founder and CEO Ben Calvert added: “The team is thrilled to be working with Rally New Zealand. It’s clear they have a focus on delivering a world-class experience for all involved and we are proud to play our part.”
Fans are now able to pre-register for tickets with the first batch of tickets going on sale tomorrow (Wednesday) at 8pm local time. Fans will be able to purchase a Rally Gold Pass, which provides access throughout the entirety of the event.
