Kenya is set for a new online ticketing player following the launch of Tokea.
The platform, headquartered in capital city Nairobi, said its ticketing and event management services can help sports teams, rights-holders and festivals to organise their events and increase revenues.
Tokea’s platform offers partners access control, cashless payments, data collection and analytics. It said its tools will revolutionise events planning in the country and also offer a platform for sports teams and institutions who are eager to improve their gate collections.
Tokea said it believes its platform could be advantageous for major sports organisations such as FKF Premier League clubs and the annual Safari Sevens Rugby Festival.
The company said: “We believe in giving the best solutions to event organisers so they can keep putting on Africa’s best shows. Access control gets people in faster so they have more time to spend, cashless payments increases spending, and experiential creates more valuable sponsorships, all while delivering a world-class guest experience.”
Current market leaders in Kenya include Mtickets, Pesapal and Tikiti.
