Tech Stack: The Knotverse, space and more…

Our weekly tech round-up from the world of ticketing and associated industries…

NFT partnerships

Bittrex Globe, a digital asset exchange, has added the YellowHeart Protocol, an NFT (non-fungible token) ticketing and blockchain collectibles marketplace, to its Initial Exchange Offering (IEO) platform, Bittrex Global Starting Block.

YellowHeart offers tickets as NFTs which also provide fans with music, video and other engaging experiences. NFT tickets also allow artists to communicate directly with fans and provide artists and venues with a share of the proceeds if a ticket is resold.

Stephen Stonberg, chief executive of Bittrex Global, said: “We are pleased to have selected YellowHeart as the first project to be launched on Starting Block. It displays strong signs of promise in the new world of Web3 ticketing and music, and we are happy to support and generate more awareness around this project through our IEO platform.”

The Knotverse

The Sandbox, a decentralised gaming virtual world and subsidiary of Animoca Brands, has partnered with heavy metal band Slipknot to bring Knotfest into the metaverse, creating the Knotverse. Knotverse will be a home for Slipknot and Knotfest metaverse experiences, concerts and lifestyle in The Sandbox.

Knotverse will host Web3 experiences curated by Knotfest and Slipknot including NFTs and collections, plus metaverse concerts, gaming experiences, fan experiences, collaborations, wearables and more.

Exploring space

Kalos Labs, a Web3 bridge technology that provides customised NFT platforms, wallets and other metaverse experiences, has announced its first bridge activation with Axiom Space, a company offering human spaceflight and human-rated space infrastructure.

The collaboration has resulted in an augmented reality (AR) ‘Spacewalker’ NFT from artist Michael Kagan. The NFT and several others will be available on Axiom’s NFT market place. The various NFTs will offer buyers unique experiences around Axiom’s space missions including VIP and general admission tickets for a future launch, VIP party tickets for a future launch, tickets to an Axiom Astronaut Dinner and other benefits.

Online ticketing

Indian Railways has launched an online ticketing platform for its National Rail Museum. Tickets will now be available for the attraction online, with visitors needing to book slots in advance.

The National Rail Museum covers 169 years of history surrounding Indian railways, with an outdoor gallery housing steam, diesel and electric locomotives alongside various collections of machinery. There are also interactive displays and models inside, with attractions such as a train ride, 3D virtual coach ride and other simulators.
