Austrian Grand Prix celebrates strong ticket sales for next year

Tickets for the 2023 Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix are already selling extremely quickly, just days after going on sale.

According to an article from Dutch magazine Formule 1, which has ticketing platform XS2Event as its official ticket partner, between 40,000 and 50,000 tickets had already been sold for next year’s Austrian GP just three days after going on sale.

Tickets went on sale Monday last week, the day after Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc took the win at this year’s edition of the Austrian GP at the Red Bull Ring.

XS2Event’s Jeroen Huis In ’t Veld told Formule 1 Magazine: “Some grandstands are already completely sold out [even though] ticket sales only started on Monday [July 11] morning.”

Huis In ‘t Veld added: “We don’t know exactly which stands will be added. This year there were also some additional grandstands. If new tickets for the 2023 race become available, and they certainly will, they will be available to order through us.

“I advise people who want to go to Spielberg next year to keep an eye on the site. Standing places can still be ordered directly, by the way.”

There is also the possibility that the 2023 Austrian Grand Prix could take place a week earlier than this year’s event, at the beginning of July.

It was predicted before this year’s race that over 200,000 race fans would be present, with 60,000 Dutch fans cheering on Dutch Red Bull driver and current World Champion Max Verstappen.
