English League Two football club Bradford City has broken its own fourth-tier record for season ticket sales.
The club sold 14,190 season tickets for the 2022-23 campaign, a League Two record for Bradford.
Season tickets went on sale in the middle of April and remained available until August 31, with early bird prices frozen at just £198 ($212/€220) for an adult. This equated to £8.61 per match for the club’s current League Two campaign.
The total beats Bradford’s previous League Two season ticket sales record of 13,614, which was set ahead of the 2019-20 season.
Of the 14,190 sold, 1,835 were to new supporters that did not hold a season ticket last season, with 12,355 of the 12,715 2021-22 holders renewing. This means that only 360 supporters opted not to renew their season ticket for this year.
The sales period between April and the end of August saw 4,749 supporters utilise Bradford’s interest-free direct-debit payment plan, which is an increase of 42% compared to last season.
Bradford sold 7,557 adult season tickets, 1,904 senior options, 1,795 junior, 1,090 youth and 888 young persons tickets.
A total of 687 fans that had been part of the club for 25 years also secured their regular perch for the 2022-23 season. A further 269 carers made up the final figure.
Bradford had already beaten its record back in June, and had sold over 14,000 tickets at that stage.

“Sales are up in all categories, and it is particularly pleasing to see close to 2,000 people purchase a season ticket, having not held one last season.
“We are all very proud of our club and our city, and this season is a collective effort as we look to deliver the success we all desire.”
