End-to-end live event platform SeatGeek has partnered with Major League Soccer (MLS) side, Real Salt Lake (RSL).
RSL has become the eighth MLS team to use SeatGeek as its ticketing platform, along with a number of football teams in the English Premier League.
Fans will be able to purchase tickets through the platform, and utilise its event-day operating system Rally to find driving directions, weather updates and potentially score upgraded experiences.
Real Salt Lake president John Kimball said: “When the team was purchased earlier this year, our new ownership group made it clear that we would work with technology partners that put our fans’ and our supporter groups’ experiences at the forefront.
“SeatGeek has become the top choice for some of the most respected clubs and leagues across the globe, and we’re eager for our fans and supporters to experience all it can do.”
The company’s box office technology is built on Unify – a client interface that allows teams, theatres and arenas to create, sell and manage access to their live entertainment ecosystem.
Jeff Ianello, executive vice-president of client partnerships at SeatGeek, added: “In the past, there was a limited choice when it came to choosing a ticketing platform, which almost made it an afterthought to the overall event-going experience.
“Now, forward-thinking clubs like RSL see the value of using their technology to surpass the expectations of their supporters.”
The relationship with Real Salt Lake follows numerous partnership announcements from SeatGeek this month, including a deal with NBA franchise Utah Jazz and Vivint Arena; a renewed partnership with the NFL’s New Orleans Saints; a new multi-year deal with the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens and a relationship with the United Soccer League.
