K-Pop music festival, HallyuPopFest, will be held in London for the first time in July at OVO Arena Wembley.
The festival will celebrate the best of Korean music and lifestyle, with the first wave of artists having already been announced. HallyuPopFest will welcome performances from Astro, Everglow, Hwasa, SF9, Cravity and Oneus with more acts to be announced in the coming weeks.
HallyuPopFest will be promoted in the UK by TEG MJR, and H.A.H. Entertainment, an entertainment company with headquarters in Singapore. HallyuTown, which is a marketplace component of the festival, will be supported and hosted by Korea’s national broadcaster MBC, and Korea Foundation for Cooperation of Large and Small Business, Rural Affairs (KOFCA).
The festival attracted around 40,000 attendees across the 2018 and 2019 events, and has hosted performances from K-Pop artists such as NCT 127, Monsta X, Super Junior, Wanna One and Taeyeon.
There will be 14 acts across two days, alongside activities such as a red carpet event, artist engagement opportunities and the evening concert featuring the headline acts.
Tickets will give festival goers access to two concert events per day – the Afternoon Showcase and the Evening Concerts.
Selena Ho, chief executive of H.A.H. Entertainment, said: “HallyuPopFest came about because we wanted to create a festival experience where K-Pop fans from all over, from various fandoms, could come together and celebrate their fervent idol support, boundless energy and love for music and dance that are the cornerstones of K-Pop.”
Richard Buck, CEO of TEG MJR, added: “We are so excited to bring HallyuPopFest to London for the first time. It will be the UK’s first K-Pop festival, as well as HallyuPopFest’s first global landing. It’s an amazing line up, consisting of a diverse variety of Korean music genres, from pop to rap to adult contemporary to indie artists. There will be something for everyone.”
