Stadium tour featuring Def Leppard sells one million tickets, adds new dates

Over one million tickets have been sold for a major rock concert series featuring iconic artists such as Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, Poison and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts.

The Live Nation-produced tour is taking place in stadiums across the US and Canada, starting with Suntrust Park in Atlanta.

Due to demand for tickets to The Stadium Tour, five new stadium shows in Las Vegas, Indianapolis, Toronto, Vancouver and Edmonton have been added to the run.

Tickets for these extra dates will go on sale to the general public on February 25. VIP offerings for Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe will also go on sale at this time.

As Citi is the official banking card of The Stadium Tour, card members will have access to a pre-sale for shows in Indianapolis and Las Vegas, from tomorrow (Tuesday). For shows in Toronto, Vancouver and Edmonton in Canada, American Express card members can also have access to a pre-sale between tomorrow and Thursday.

Joan Jett and the Blackhearts said: “We are so excited to be back out on the road. We missed doing what we love most and can’t wait to see the fans out there again.”

John Boyle, who is the chief content officer at ASM Global, which is also involved in the tour, highlighted The Stadium Tour as a stand-out event for 2022, during a recent interview with TheTicketingBusiness.com.

“Maybe one of the most anticipated, and most rescheduled, is the Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett package,” said Boyle.

“I think the excitement for this one has only grown with all the rescheduling during COVID.”
