Dutch software company with a focus on conversational commerce, CM.com, has launched a new ticketing solution in the UK and Ireland.
The new London base will be the company’s first expansion outside the Benelux region.
CM.com already boasts clients including the Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix, ticketing company ALDA, Westergas Events and Oh My! Festival, which takes place just outside of Amsterdam.
The new UKI Music & Live division will be headed by Paul Everett, who was formerly the head of music at Eventbrite, Europe.
Everett said: “Most ticketing platforms have been treading the same well-worn path for years, despite the fact that independent event creators’ needs are continually evolving.
“CM.com ticketing has already been hugely successful in Benelux – we are excited to move the needle within UK and Ireland live events with an industry-first offering.”
Prior to joining CM.com, Everett served in the role of artist manager at Supervision Management and co-founded live events and ticketing consultancy, Wonderland Management Group. He will be joined by Jonny Patrickson as the senior partnerships manager, who was previously with Eventbrite. Josh Pow will become the lead account manager and also has former experience with Eventbrite, Live Nation and AMG.
Fiona Primavera and Sandra Crowley, both previously in roles at Eventbrite, will join as the partnerships manager and technical consultant, respectively.
The UK office has already secured ticketing partnerships with The Weekend Festival Group and Newcastle club promoters ape-X.
CM.com has claimed its ticketing platform is a mobile-first, combining smart audience analytics and in-event mobile order capabilities. The solution will aim to streamline event organisation, meaning for the event provider, there will be an integration of social media apps like WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook. There will be real-time analytics with insights into audience behaviour, multi-channel marketing tools and custom branding, to ensure e-tickets and ticket stores integrate flawlessly with brands.
There will also be on-site payment equipment and support and pre-event revenue with early payout options.
For those looking to purchase tickets for events, there is no need to create an account or log in, cashless mobile payments and one-click payments in-event and personalised purchasing experiences tailored to the customer’s behaviour.
Jeroen van Glabbeek, chief executive of CM.com, said: “We always say: selling tickets is just the start. It represents how we see the music and live sector, and has become a unique proposition on which we can link all CM.com solutions.
“We are able to create the ultimate event journey for our customers and their visitors. With Paul and his team coming on board, and everything we’ve learned in the Benelux so far, we are looking forward to rolling out this proposition in the UK and Ireland.”
