Australian independent ticketing service Oztix has agreed a new partnership with Corner Group, owner of Melbourne’s Corner Hotel and Northcote Social Club.
The arrangement will allow Corner Group to tap into Oztix’s accessible customer service and business development teams, as well as in-house marketing resources and technology.
Richmond’s Corner Hotel has staged live music since the 1940s, hosting the likes of Crowded House, Lorde, Midnight Oil, Mick Jagger, Tame Impala, and Queens of the Stone Age.
The Northcote Social Club and is also an important part of the Melbourne music scene, having welcomed acts such as The Pixies, Jose Gonzales, Gotye and Midnight Oil.
Oztix co-founder Brian Chladil said it is an honour to work with the iconic venues.
“To be lucky enough now to be a partner, working alongside the Corner Group team, is about as good at gets in my job,” Chladil said. “Both companies share an independent spirit and come to work because we love live music. It’s a great day for Oztix.”
