UEFA seeks hospitality companies – TheTicketingBusiness News

European football governing body UEFA has published a Request for Information (RFI) to hospitality companies across the globe to participate in a tender for exclusive hospitality sales rights for UEFA EURO 2024.

The RFI is inviting companies to express interest in assisting with the Official Hospitality Sales Programme, on behalf of UEFA. One opportunity is for a single company to aid with Global Exclusive Sales, Marketing and Production Rights which includes the organisation and provision of catering services.

The other is for one or multiple companies to assist with Exclusive Sales and Marketing Rights on a global or country-by-country basis.

UEFA EURO 2024 is set to take place in Germany with the tournament being played out across 10 cities. The country landed the hosting rights back in 2018.

Interested companies will have to submit their information by January 21, as part of Phase 1 of the process, and will then be notified if they have moved on to the next stage of the tender procedure.

Firms will need to provide a description of proven experience in hospitality sales, marketing and catering – if this is the option they are bidding for – at a large-scale international event; evidence of appropriate infrastructure; annual reports or key accounting figures from the last three years; proof of strong financial backing and up-to-date inland revenue declarations as well as information on key personnel, who must also be English-speaking.

This is to be accompanied by the ‘Statement of Undertaking’ signed by a representative from the interested party.

Phase 2 will incorporate the tendering process, where UEFA will begin by introducing a Request for Proposals from the successful candidates of Phase 1. This will set out the terms and conditions for the tender.
