Jack Rubin leaves Tessitura in planned exit

Tessitura Network co-founder Jack Rubin (pictured left) has departed the company he helped to build after more than 20 years, in a planned exit.

Rubin said on LinkedIn: “The end of 2021 saw my planned departure from Tessitura Network after 20+ years as chief executive and co-founder. So proud of what we built and accomplished and wish the team much success in the future.

“Going forward, I look forward to explore more of life, and also to assist organisations and leadership via consulting and board memberships. MY consulting and advisory practice focusses on growth, negotiations, partnerships, alliances, strategy, acquisitions, business acceleration and finance.”

Tessitura is a not-for-profit that powers arts and cultural organisations across the globe through its CRM software, which drives functions from one platform such as ticketing and admissions, fundraising, memberships, marketing, business insights, education, online and mobile.

It was announced back in 2020 that Rubin would transition into an advisory role for 2021 before leaving the company to focus on new ventures.

Andrew Recinos (pictured right) became chief executive on top of his existing role as president last year as Rubin’s transition was announced.

Multiple industry figures commented on Rubin’s departure.

Amanda Kruciak, sales manager, Global System Integrators at Amazon Web Services (AWS), said: “What a footprint you’ve left both at Tessitura and on many individuals, Jack. I’ve always appreciated your passion, knowledge and thoughtfulness you put into everything.

“Privileged to have worked with you and the team you built, even if for only a while. Best of luck.”

Joe McFadden, co-founder and chief technology officer of GenerationZero and co-founder of Carbon13, said: “What an amazing legacy Jack – the Tessitura Network is a genuinely mission and community driven organisation that has done so much for the world of arts and culture.

“Thank you for the amazing support and advice you gave me over the years and wish you all the best for the future.”
