York Racecourse partners with Seat Unique

Premium ticketing marketplace Seat Unique has enabled York Racecourse to sell hospitality packages and private boxes online for the first time.

The new hospitality sales collaboration means that racegoers can now purchase their experiences online, as Seat Unique has assisted with York’s digital transformation.

Seat Unique’s partnership with the racecourse will span four years, with fans able to purchase hospitality packages 24/7 with online access. Racegoers can browse and purchase VIP experiences anywhere and at any time.

Across 2022, York Racecourse will host flagship race meetings including Ebor Festival 2022 and Dante Festival. Luxury private box experiences will also be available to book through the Seat Unique-powered platform, with attendees able to tailor their package.

Seat Unique also works with other clients to make hospitality experiences available to attendees in this way, including the Rugby League World Cup and Leeds United for its home fixtures.

Robin Sherry, chief executive and founder of Seat Unique, said: “We are delighted to have this opportunity to work with York Racecourse. Making unique hospitality experiences available to buy anytime and anywhere is a key demand in our industry today.

“We look forward to horse racing fans using our technology to access hospitality packages and private boxes at York Races.”

William Derby, Yorkshire Racecourse CEO, added: “York Racecourse is proud of the experience of visiting the Knavesmire so were keen to find a partner that shared a commitment to high-quality delivery.

“In Seat Unique we believe we’ve found such a partner, a team who are passionate about how they can help improve the process whereby our customers can easily and helpfully find and buy the hospitality experience online which is right for them.

“Our aspiration remains to continue to invest in both the racing and the experience at York to ensure we continue to deliver fabulously enjoyable racedays at York.”
