National Hockey League (NHL) franchise St. Louis Blues has gifted season ticket holders with a replica Stanley Cup championship ring from the 2019 season, as well as an invitation to an exclusive event at Enterprise Center (pictured).
Some 4,000 full season ticket holders attended the recent event at the Blues’ home arena, where they were able to take a picture with the Stanley Cup and the team’s championship banner.
The two-day celebratory event was finally able to take place following the COVID-19 pandemic.
The rings were modelled after the Blues’ championship rings, which were presented to players in October 2019.
The fans’ replica ring featured the same design – created with the same blue, gold and silver hues, a large blue note and Stanley Cup on top, an image of the Archgrounds (a national park in St. Louis where the celebrations took place) and the team’s parade on one side, as well as an image of a player lifting the cup on the other.
Season ticket holders of 30 years or more were also treated to an invite-only session with Phil Pritchard, the Keeper of the Cup. Pritchard shared stories with the guests about travelling and looking after the Stanley Cup, the most coveted trophy in ice hockey.
Melissa Gales, St. Louis Blues senior director of ticketing, premium and suite services, said: “We are extremely excited to finally present championship replica rings to our incredibly supportive season ticket holders.
“After waiting more than 50 years to win a championship and another two because of the pandemic, our fans have waited long enough to get their very own piece of Blues history.”
