The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has partnered with cryptocurrency exchange and blockchain platform, Binance, to offer students NFT (non-fungible token) tickets for a cultural festival.
Binance will also provide proof of attendance protocol during the festival, named Rendezvous, which is taking place until tomorrow (Tuesday). The NFT tickets have been used for attendees on nights with concerts.
The exchange and blockchain platform has also organised competitions surrounding crypto trading and NFT arts, as well as an education webinar on crypto and blockchain, which is set to take place on May 1.
As part of the partnership, Binance is also the title sponsor for the IIT’s festival.
Students will be able to learn about blockchain technology and witness some of the applications in action.
Binance has been working with students in India through its ‘Blockchain for Good Ideathon’ as part of a partnership with the Inter-Institutional Inclusive Innovation Centre. Students learned how to solve problems using blockchain technology.
