Pollen raises $150m in Series C funding

Travel and entertainment technology company Pollen has raised $150m (€140m/£118m) in a Series C funding round.

Pollen was founded in 2014 and curates and delivers experiences across the globe, using data and customer insights. It was founded by two brothers, Callum and Liam Negus-Fancey, who use the data to create experiences exclusive to Pollen, as well as parenting with music festivals and brands to sell their experiences.

The company has already created travel experiences for artists such as Justin Bieber, Duran Duran and J Balvin. Pollen also co-created Neon with J Balvin, an experience to celebrate Latin culture.

Pollen creates experiences with hotels, venues, restaurants and nightclubs as well as featuring activities such as scuba diving, sailing and biking.

According to Pollen, the Series C funding comes after the company witnessed sales increase by more than 300% relative to pre-pandemic levels.

Co-founder and chief executive Callum Negus-Fancey said: “People want personalised travel experiences built around what they are passionate about. And Pollen is at the forefront of this demand; we use our proprietary data and customer insights to build one-of-a-kind travel experiences with the world’s biggest talent and brands in the best destinations.

“When people look back after 10 years, and think about their top five memories, we want them to feel like Pollen was responsible for three of them.”
