Hoge Veluwe National Park, the largest privately owned nature reserve in the Netherlands, has selected Ticketcounter as its new ticketing partner.
Through the multiyear deal, Ticketcounter will be responsible for all on-site and online ticket sales as well as the technology for access control on site. The ticketing operator will also become a sponsor of the park’s Edelhert Circle.
Through the collaboration, the park, which is close to Arnhem and attracts 500,000 visitors per year, is to greatly expand its online services in particular. Visitors will be able to book various excursions, guided tours and workshops as well as rental products online.
The partners said that Ticketcounter’s ticket sales will contribute significantly towards the park’s foundation’s sustainability goals.
Monique Kokke, head of visitor management at the attraction, said: “The park strives to present its online offer of entrance tickets, activities and rental products as clearly as possible and to have it function properly. With this partnership, we are taking the next step in improving the customer journey of our visitors.”
Ticketcounter has been the ticketing partner for the park’s day recreation since 2006. The park is one of two privately owned national parks in the Netherlands, but the only one that asks an entrance fee.
Ticketcounter chief executive Sjoerd Bakker said: “One of our offices is, just like most of National Park De Hoge Veluwe, located in the municipality of Ede. With offices in Rotterdam, Ede and Cologne, Ticketcounter provides ticket sale and access control services to zoos, amusement parks, museums and event organisers.
