Free tickets for final day of England vs New Zealand Test

England’s second LV= Insurance Test match against New Zealand will come to a thrilling conclusion today (Tuesday) at Trent Bridge (pictured), with Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club offering free tickets for supporters.

After an already entertaining four days, which saw England take three late wickets yesterday (Monday), the decision was taken to offer free tickets to supporters as all three results are still possible. Before the beginning of play today, New Zealand are 224-7, 238 ahead.

Those that have already purchased tickets for day five of the Test will be given a full and automatic refund in the coming days, but should use their existing tickets to gain entry.

Attendees must have a valid ticket before approaching the gates and organisers have urged patrons to secure a seat online to avoid queueing at the ticket office this morning. Play will begin at 11am.

Instead of payment, cricket fans have been encouraged to make a voluntary donation to the Trent Bridge Community Trust, which helps to deliver numerous projects in Nottinghamshire.

Spectators can make donations online or at a number of donation stations, which will be positioned at the entrances to Trent Bridge.

In a statement, Nottingham CCC said: “We hope that this gesture will encourage first-time visitors to join long-standing supporters at Trent Bridge and we can’t wait to welcome you to our historic home.”
