Oklahoma State partners Paciolan after Ticketmaster association ends

Oklahoma State is targeting fan experience improvements through a new partnership with Paciolan after ending its almost 20-year association with Ticketmaster.

The North American school sports ticketing group will serve as the official ticketing, fundraising and marketing system provider of OSU Athletics’ college programme from next week. OSU’s football team plays at the 55,500-capacity Boone Pickens Stadium, with the basketball team at the 13,600-capacity Gallagher-Iba Arena.

The partnership allows OSU fans to purchase mobile tickets, including season and single game tickets. Fans can receive and transfer tickets via text message and access venues using mobile wallets.

The partnership will be underpinned by a mobile app from SIDEARM, launching later in 2022. This app will be integrated with Paciolan and OSU Max and provides OSU Athletics news, behind the scenes content, gameday information, and ticket and donor account management.

“Our goal is to provide OSU fans an unrivalled college gameday experience,” said OSU Athletic director Chad Weiberg.

“We have a collection of some of the most fan-friendly stadium amenities in college sports. But we realise the experience starts long before our fans get to campus.

“This partnership with Paciolan, and their leadership within college athletics, will provide the technology and resources to activate this important relationship with our fans and POSSE members long before they arrive in Stillwater.”

Fans will also have access to updated 3D virtual views of Boone Pickens Stadium from November 2023 and Gallagher-Iba Arena from April 2023, as well as a new 3D virtual seat map for O’Brate Stadium from September 2022 when shopping for tickets.

To assist fans wanting to make electronic payments without incurring credit card fees, OSU is also introducing ACH (eCheck) as a payment method option for ticket transactions and donations made through Paciolan.

Fans have been warned they will not be able to access their ticket accounts from June 16, when the Ticketmaster service ends, to the Paciolan system going live on June 21. Paciolan was previously Spectra’s Ticketing & Fan Engagement division.

OSU most recently extended its partnership with Ticketmaster in 2019, building on an association that had been in place since 2004.
