Southeast Asia is attracting some of the biggest names in music and is set to host a number of events, from Justin Bieber to a stellar line-up for the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix and more.
After a quiet couple of years thanks to the pandemic, live music and events are returning.
Taiwanese pop-rock band 831 are set to play their first concert in Singapore on Saturday, while Korean hip-hop group Epik High will perform in Singapore, Melbourne, Sydney, Bangkok and Jakarta for the Epik High is Here Tour in July.
Former One Direction star Louis Tomlinson is set to perform in Jakarta, Indonesia and Manila, Philippines on July 10 and July 16.
Festivals are also returning with Tugatog Filipino Music Festival taking place in Manila on July 15. American pop-rock band All Time Low are also set to perform in Manila on August 15. We The Fest, which takes place September 23-25 in Jakarta, will return after a forced two-year hiatus. Previous headliners include Lorde, Troye Sivan and SZA.
K-pop boy band Seventeen will perform in Jakarta, Manila, Bangkok and Singapore in September and October.
The Singapore Grand Prix will also be returning for 2022, with headline performances from Marshmello, Westlife and Green Day. The race will take place between September 30 and October 2.
Justin Bieber’s Justice World Tour will head to Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Jakarta, Manila, New Delhi, and Bangkok.
Bieber will perform in New Delhi on October 19, Kuala Lumpur on October 22, Singapore on October 25, and October 29 in Manila. He will then head to Jakarta for two shows on November 2 and 3, before heading to Bangkok on November 6.
