The Boyz cancel remaining US tour dates

K-pop boyband The Boyz have cancelled the remaining dates of the US leg of their world tour.

The group’s agency IST Entertainment announced today (Tuesday) that the final two shows of ‘THE B-ZONE’ US tour would be cancelled. The two concerts had originally been planned for June 8 and 10 in Dallas and San Jose, but were initially postponed after members of The Boyz tested positive for COVID-19.

In a statement on social media, IST Entertainment revealed that it had tried to reorganise the postponed shows, but could not find a way to make it work.

The statement said: “After searching for multiple ways with the organiser to reschedule the postponed shows, taking into consideration the local conditions and future schedules,   the decision was reached to cancel the above shows.

“We know that this will come as an enormous disappointment to all the fans who were looking forward to attending the show after a long wait.

“As the shows were cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, we will try our best to hold a new tour in the near future and prioritise meeting our fans in Dallas and San Jose.”

The agency added that all ticket purchasers will receive a full refund through their “original point of purchase”.

“If you purchased your tickets through the official ticketing site or your respective venue, the refund will be done automatically.”

The statement concluded: “We thank you all for your kind understanding for the sudden cancellation, and would once again like to convey our sincerest apologies to all the fans who have long awaited for this event to happen.”

Despite the cancellation of the US leg of their ‘The B-ZONE’ tour, The Boyz are due to appear at KCON in Los Angeles in August.

The initial line-up was announced recently, and will include performances from ITZY, STAYC, ENHYPEN and CRAVITY.
