People on the move: AEG, DICE and more…

We round up the latest movements from the ticketing sector and associated industries…

Sports and entertainment business AEG has appointed David Jones (pictured right) in the newly created role of chief information officer at AEG Global Technology.

In his new role, Jones will oversee the company’s technology strategy and solutions across the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific regions. The new AEG Global Technology division was created to help facilitate the use of data and customer-facing technologies to drive revenue across the business.

Jones was formerly the chief information officer for AEG Europe and will continue to be based in London. He will also work closely with technology teams at AEG-owned venues such as The O2 and Crypto(.com) Arena.

Ticketing and discovery platform Dice recently rolled into Germany and has partnered with artists, promoters and venues including Goodlive Artists, Z|Art Agency and Uebel & Gefährlich – one of Hamburg’s busiest venues.

As part of this expansion in Germany, the platform revealed a number of senior appointments including Antony Jackson, who has become the head of expansion, Europe; Falko Mortiboys, who is the vice-president of fan experience; Ali McCloud, who has come in as the vice-president of partner relations; and Leon Sherman, who has joined as the head of artist partnerships for the UK and Europe.

Elsewhere, UK Music, a British umbrella organisation for the music industry, has appointed Stephanie Haughton-Campbell (pictured left) as director of operations.

In her new role, Haughton-Campbell will handle all business operations, the UK Music board secretariat and project management across the organisation’s campaigns and events.

Before starting with UK Music, she was the chief of staff at not-for-profit First Draft, which protects communities from misinformation. Haughton-Campbell also spent eight years at Lloyd’s Register as an advisor across the global marine business.
