NFL and Grupo Financiero Banorte announce ticket sales dates for Mexico games

The National Football League (NFL) and financial banking group Grupo Financiero Banorte have announced that tickets for the NFL Mexico game will go on sale on August 16.

It will be the fifth regular season game from the NFL to be played in Mexico – and the third Monday Night Football game – and will feature the San Francisco 49ers against the Arizona Cardinals.

It will also be a rematch of the first regular season game to be played outside of the US between the 49ers and Arizona in 2005. It will take place at Estadio Azteca.

On Tuesday, August 16, tickets will go on presale for Banorte customers, while the general sale will kick off on Thursday, August 18. General admission tickets will be available through the Ticketmaster Mexico website.

The game is set to take place on November 21 and the price of tickets will range from 990 pesos ($49/£40/€48) to 9,000 pesos.

Carla Juan, general director of marketing at Grupo Financiero Banorte, said: “For Banorte it is a pleasure to be able to present the NFL game in Mexico again, share with everyone the passion of American football and bring the best events closer to Mexicans.”

Arturo Olivé, general director of NFL Mexico, added: “We thank all the Mexican fans for waiting, for this mandatory two-year break, we are very excited that the NFL returns to Mexico to the Estadio Azteca’s field with the third Monday Night Football, on November 21. We are sure that the fans will join us to enjoy the experience that a regular season game of the League represents in our country.”
