NFTs for bucket list events
Austin-based FestivalPass has introduced its Founder NFT (non-fungible token) which will offer VIP access to bucket list events. The Festival Family Founders NFT will unlock $1,200 (£984/€1,778) worth of credits on FestivalPass every year, which can be redeemed for tickets on the platform for over 80,000 live events including concerts, festivals, theatre and sporting events. There are only 10,000 Founder NFTs available in this collection and will not be offered again.
A brand-new app
Championship club Queens Park Rangers has teamed up with Stadion, which creates bespoke digital experiences, to offer fans a new app. The app is available on both Apple and Android and is set to include a ticket wallet, which will be added during the coming season. QPR fans will have access to news, streams and other features that will be added during the season.
Turning brand value into NFTs
Taiwanese artist Jay Chou is expanding his presence in the NFT sphere after joining forces with French football club, Paris Saint Germain (PSG), to launch a metaverse art project. The hope is for PSG to expand its presence in Asia through the relationship and for the Mandopop favourite to increase his popularity in Europe. Earlier this year, Chou’s fashion brand launched its own ‘Phanta Bears’ NFTs.
Funding the metaverse
Metaverse infrastructure company Condense has raised $4.5m () in a funding round led by LocalGlobe, 7percent Ventures and Depptech Labs. Condense was founded in Bristol in 2019 and offers end-to-end capture and streaming technology to live stream real-world events like music and sports and turn them into 3D applications.
