Coachella Valley Firebirds tickets go on sale for the first time

Ice hockey fans will now be able to purchase tickets to watch the Coachella Valley Firebirds for the first time.

The Coachella Valley Firebirds franchise is the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the National Hockey League (NHL)’s Seattle Kraken.

This is the first public on-sale in the new franchise’s history, with fans now able to buy tickets for a match against Abbotsford at the new home of the Seattle Kraken, Climate Pledge Arena (pictured).

The Seattle Kraken played its first home game at the 18,000-capacity venue in October last year.

Fans are also able to purchase tickets for a game against the Calgary Wranglers at Angel of The Winds Arena in Everett.

The game against Abbotsford, which is the AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks, will take place October 23. The Coachella Valley Firebirds will then face the Calgary Wranglers, the AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Calgary Flames at Angel of The Winds Arena, home of Western Hockey League (WHL)’s Everett Silvertips on October 28.

Tickets start at $15 (£13/€15 for the game at the Climate Pledge Arena and $11 for the game against at the Angel of The Winds Arena.

The Firebirds’ inaugural game will take place on Sunday October 16 in Calgary against the Calgary Wranglers, while its opening home game will take place at Acrisure Arena on December 18. Acrisure Arena is currently being built and recently marked a major milestone following the installation of its first seats.

The arena, owned and operated by Oak View Group, will have a seated capacity of more than 11,000 and will serve as the home of the Coachella Valley Firebirds going forward.
