James Madison University surpasses season ticket sales record

James Madison University (JMU)’s athletics department has revealed that season ticket sales have surpassed its previous record, with 7,582 tickets sold for the coming season.

The new total has marked the third time since 2014 that season ticket sales have climbed over 7,000, with the previous record of 7,567 being set in 2018. In 2019, the Virginia-based university sold 7,252 season tickets and the most recent 2021 season saw 6,853 season tickets snapped up by sports fans.

Season tickets and single game tickets are still available ahead of the university’s first game against Middle Tennessee at the 24,877-capacity Bridgeforth Stadium in the Sun Belt Conference.

JMU also recently announced that it had sold out its allotment of approximately 8,600 student tickets, with students having the option to purchase single-game tickets. If students are no longer able to attend, they are able to return their reserved tickets.

A limited number of returned student tickets may then become available ahead of games.

JMU Athletics utilises digital ticketing for stadium entry, with tickets available on student’s and attendees’ mobile phones.
