Last minute tickets for Qatar World Cup go on sale

Last minute tickets for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar are now on sale, with less than two months to go until the tournament.

Tickets can be purchased on a first-come, first-served basis with this final sales phase running until the end of the tournament.

Initial inventory is expected to sell out quickly, but FIFA has advised fans to check the ticketing website regularly as additional batches of tickets will be made available through further releases and resales.

Individual match tickets will be available in all four price categories, with category 4 tickets reserved for Qatari residents. Customers are able to purchase a maximum of six tickets per match and 60 tickets across the entire tournament.

Those that require disabled access or have limited mobility are encouraged to review a range of dedicated accessibility tickets.

Due to the close proximity of stadiums and multiple matches happening on the same day in Qatar, fans have the opportunity to watch up to two games on certain group-stage match days.

Tickets for the general public will be delivered as mobile tickets. By no earlier than the second half of October, FIFA will release a dedicated ticketing app that customers will need to download.

Fans will then be able to view their purchased tickets after they have been uploaded to the app, with the tickets activated when attendees access the stadium.

Local and international fans must apply for a digital Hayya (Fan ID), which is needed in addition to the ticketing app and match ticket for stadium access. It is also an entry permit for the State of Qatar.

The World Cup will kick off on November 20, after it was brought forward by a day. The final will take place on December 18.
