Golf Passport allows for easier booking

Cascais in Portugal, which boasts a number of championship golf courses including Penha Longa, Estoril and Oitavos Dunes, is offering a new way for golfers to book travel and multiple rounds.

The digital Golf Passport allows golfers looking to book three to five rounds across the city’s seven goals course at the lowest prices available.

Not only does the Portuguese city host championship courses, but it also offers a number of public courses for those new to the game.

Available through Visit Cascais, the booking system makes it easier to visit multiple golf courses during one trip.

The new Golf Passport is an addition to the city’s other innovations including City Points, which enables visitors to earn points taking part in activities; intelligent waste management; Cascais 360, an events platform and the implementation of 5G coverage across the city.

Bernardo Corrêa de Barros, president at Visit Cascais, the region’s tourism board, said: “Cascais is at the vanguard of digital innovation with the mission to help improve the lives of its visitors and residents.

“Golfers can book with confidence knowing this is the fastest, simplest and most cost-efficient means to play at multiple courses in Portugal.”
