Indiana University Athletics expands Learfield partnership

Indiana University Athletics will utilise Learfield Amplify, the ticket sales division of Learfield, as part of its newly expanded partnership with the US collegiate sports marketing company.

As part of the expanded deal, an on-campus sales team will be established to drive new fan engagement and to aid existing season ticket-holders.

Indiana University Athletics is also represented by Learfield for multimedia rights and sponsorship sales, as well as for the university’s official athletics website and app created by Sidearm Sports, and digital ticketing platform, which is powered by Paciolan.

Amplify’s on-campus sales team will also work alongside Learfield’s Indiana University sports properties multimedia rights team, and leverage technology from school sports ticketing group, Paciolan, through its primary ticketing system Salesforce and marketing automation.

Scott Dolson, Indian University vice-president and director of athletics, said: “Learfield has been an outstanding partner to Indiana University Athletics for decades, and I am excited to build on that relationship with Learfield Amplify.

“We have seen tremendous growth in our ticket sales in the last two years, and this partnership takes those efforts to a new level as we create a world-class atmosphere at our home sporting events.”

Dolson added: “As we continue to focus on serving our fans, it’s great to know that we have a partner in Learfield that shares our commitment to meet the needs of our proud and loyal legion of fans all around the state and the country.”

Chris Sanders, executive vice-president of multimedia rights at Learfield, said: “Indiana and Learfield have been long-time partners, and we’re thrilled to continue enhancing this relationship with the addition of a dedicated ticket sales staff.

“This new team will align on many respects with Indiana University Sports Properties, allowing us to quickly provide the best possible experiences to Indiana fans across the country.”
