Dice extends partnership with Primavera Sound

Ticketing and live music discovery platform Dice and promotion company Primavera Sound have extended their multi-year, mobile-only ticketing partnership.

The partnership, which began in 2019, will see Dice continue to provide tickets for all Primavera Sound events in Europe, including Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona and Madrid. Dice will also provide tickets for Primavera Sound’s Porto edition in Portugal.

Nearly half a million tickets have been sold through the Dice platform for Primavera Sound events in 2022.

Primavera Sound celebrated its 20th anniversary last year, and has welcomed headline performances from acts such as Gorillaz, Megan Thee Stallion, Dua Lipa, Lorde, The Strokes, Tame Impala and more.

Last year, Dice also hosted a stage at Primavera Sound Barcelona which included performances from Goldie, UFO, Jeff Mills and a range of other acts.

Next year, Primavera Sound will have two locations in Spain over two consecutive weekends – Barcelona and Madrid. The Barcelona edition will take place June 1-3 in Parc del Fòrum, while the Madrid festival will take place June 8-10 in Ciudad del Rock de Arganda del Rey.

Both locations will also be accompanied by Primavera a la Cuitat, a series of complementary activities in the cities leading up to the festival.

Dice president Russ Tannen said: “We love working with Primavera Sound. They wanted to change the way festivals are ticketed, and we provided the solution to do that.

“After navigating the pandemic together, their return in 2022 was an incredible moment, and provided a taste of what’s to come. Dice and Primavera Sound are going to continue to give fans the fairest festival ticketing experience out there for many years to come.”

Pablo Soler, founder of Primavera Sound, added: “For Primavera Sound working with DICE is a guarantee of tranquility, effectiveness and in tune with the times. With this ticketing system we know that both parties prioritise the most important thing for any festival: the comfort of its audience. The fans are first and foremost.”
