Vault Festival reveals 2023 programme plans

Organisers of Vault Festival have revealed that the event will return with a full programme of theatre, comedy, cabaret, immersive experiences and late night entertainment.

Vault Festival will take place Tuesday January 24 through Sunday March 19 and will present more than 500 shows.

Tickets are now on sale for the event, which will feature the Vault Comedy Festival alongside live theatre and performances. Guests will be able to see established comedians and new talent.

Brand new for 2023 will be The Flair Ground – a purpose-built venue that will feature cabaret, drag, burlesque, circus and performance art talent. The festival will also be celebrating over a decade of entertainment, and there will be new shows from the Vault Five – artists that are taking part in the event’s development programme.

Generation V will showcase original work from the newest cohort of performance markers, and features Joy from the Vault Young Company – Vault Creative Arts’ year-round ensemble of young theatre artists – along with a season of shows from drama schools such as East 15 and Fourth Monkey.

Manchester will also have a presence at the London event, as Home presents Good Grief from Ugly Bucket, a performance about a dying man’s wish for his friends to create a show about death.

Vault Festival has also presented three artists and companies at this year’s festival with awards to recognise their commitment to, and excellence in, accessibility, sustainability and inclusion. The festival will again showcase its Picks of Pleasance and Summerhall from this year’s Edinburgh Fringe.

Performing arts fans will be able to access the festival in numerous ways from festival and party passes, to a membership programme which offers discounts on tickets and drinks.
