Ticketing services and live entertainment company CTS Eventim has become the exclusive ticketing provider of the World Athletics Championships in Budapest.
From August 19-27 next year, Budapest will host the Championships and 420,000 tickets have been placed on sale today (Monday).
Athletes from over 200 countries will attend and there will be 14 stadium sessions in a brand-new, purpose-built National Athletics Centre in the Hungarian capital. A further six competitions will be held outside the stadium in Budapest.
The National Athletics Centre has an initial capacity of 35,000 for the 2023 Championships, but will be reduced to 15,000 as part of a sustainable reconstruction. The venue has been built on the eastern bank of the Danube River, on the south side of Budapest.
To mark 250 days to go until the Athletics Championships, the WCH Budapest 2023 Local Organising Committee has placed 420,000 tickets on sale. The tickets are sold on a first come, first served online ticketing programme. Both single tickets and packages are available for athletics fans to purchase.
