Backstage round-up: Asia touring news

A number of artists have announced dates across Asia including K-pop girl group IVE, British band The 1975 and K-pop boy group NCT Dream.

IVE are set to embark on an Asia tour later this year, and will visit several cities including Manila, Taipei, Singapore and Bangkok, as well as their upcoming dates in Japan. IVE also performed their first concerts at the Olympic Hall in Seoul earlier this month.

The group are currently getting ready for their Japan leg, before their studio album is released in April. The dates in Manila, Taipei, Singapore and Bangkok will be across June and July, with ticket details yet to be revealed.

British band The 1975 (pictured) have also announced a date in Singapore as part of their ‘At Their Very Best’ tour. The concert will take place on July 18 in the city-state but a venue has yet to be announced.

The 1975 will also perform in Bangkok in April, which will be the band’s first performance in Asia since September 2019.

Following the Bangkok performance, The 1975 are set to perform in Australia and New Zealand with shows in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland and more before heading to Japan.

K-pop group NCT Dream, which is a sub-unit of fellow K-pop group NCT, have added new shows in Asia to their ‘The Dream Show 2: In a Dream’ world tour. The band began their tour in Japan last year and performed in Osaka over the weekend, with upcoming shows in Jakarta, Bangkok and Hong Kong in March.

After the US leg, NCT Dream will return to Asia in May, with further performances set for Singapore, Macau and Kuala Lumpur.
