According to a report from Rolling Stone, The Rochester Police Department has revoked the entertainment licence of Main Street Armory (pictured), the venue where the incident took place.
The Department was set to meet with the owner of the venue on Wednesday, who did not show up, leading to the licence to be immediately revoked and its upcoming renewal halted.
Rochester police chief David Smith told press on Wednesday: “It is one step we can immediately take to ensure that the events of Sunday night are not repeated. The bottom line is, lives were lost, and we need to take steps to make sure that no lives are lost in the future if this was indeed something that was preventable.”
