U2’s ‘UV Achtung Baby Live At Sphere’ is set to arrive on September 29 at new venue, Sphere at The Venetian in Las Vegas.
The rock band are opening the new cutting edge venue from Madison Square Garden Entertainment (MSG) with five dates: September 29, September 30, October 5, October 7, October 8, 2023.
It was first revealed that the band would be opening the new venue with a residency in February at the Super Bowl.
Fans will be able to purchase tickets for the run of shows using Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan service. Registration for the pre-sale is set to close tomorrow (Wednesday), with successful fans receiving an access code to participate in the Verified Fan presale beginning on April 27.
Ticket prices start at $140 (£113/€127) and will reflect all-in pricing, meaning the ticket price is listed with the full out-of-pocket price inclusive of taxes and fees.
On their website, U2 said: “The larger capacity at Sphere allows for 60% of tickets to be priced under $300 and there will also be a limited number of premium priced tickets per show.”
Should any tickets remain following the presale, they will be sold during the general onsale starting on April 28.
In a bid to minimise ticket touting and to keep prices at face value, general admission floor tickets will be restricted from transfer, and may only be resold at the original purchase price. This can be done through the Ticketmaster Face Value Exchange.
Some 50 tickets will be available to purchase for the Red Zone, which will benefit RED, the organisation founded by U2 members Bono and Bobby Shriver to fight AIDS in 2006.
VIP hotel and travel packages will be available through Vibee, the new destination experience company recently launched by Live Nation.
Citi Cardmembers currently have special access to Vibee VIP and hotel packages until May 3.
